Welcome a new arrival, label your favorite pot, or add a personal touch to a plant you’re giving someone. Your printable plant name card has room for a nickname, an optional plant name, a homecoming date, and a few words of your own.
Plant nickname questions
How are the plant names chosen?
The generator draws from a curated name collection. When you select a plant, its plant group narrows the eligible names, and your style preference filters them further. Some plants also have individually matched names. Plants in the same group can share suggestions.
Can I name a plant without knowing its species?
Yes. Choose “Name any plant” to use the general nickname collection. You can choose a style or leave it open with “Any style.” This tool gives plants nicknames; it does not identify a plant’s species.
Can I change the name on my card?
Yes. Choose one of the three suggestions, then edit the nickname and optional details. Pick Cream, Forest, Mint, or Apricot for your card.
How do I print my plant name card?
Select “Print name card” and print at 100% scale for a 9 × 6 cm card. Enable background graphics in your browser’s print settings to include the card color. Cut along the border and attach the card to your pot or place it beside your plant.
Are my card details saved?
Card details stay in the current page session and are not saved to your account or submitted to the site. Print your finished card before reloading or leaving the page.
